Nineteen percent of Americans consider themselves as liberal, according to a recent study by the Pew Research Center. The study identified liberals as the most affluent and educated demographic among American political classes. Of those who identified as liberal, 49 percent were college graduates and 41 percent had household incomes exceeding $75,000, well above the national average.
