Founded in 1970, Common Cause has grown into a nationwide network of more than 400,000 members, with offices in 36 states. The advocacy group works toward the following objectives: increase public participation in government, ensure government for the common good, promote fair elections, protect civil liberties, and curb influence of money on government decisions.
